Philly Event Group was launched in 2009 by area entrepreneur, musician, and DJ Bob Mills. His dedication to the company has led it to grow monumentally since its beginnings. Not only has he been President of the International Special Events Society, he is PEG’s top selling DJ. Impassioned by music and weddings, DJ Bob comes from deep experience that reflects in every special event he is involved in. As a local Philadelphia area musician and band leader, Bob has shared the stage and toured with international acclaimed artists such as Magic Slim and the Teardrops, Billy Branch, Kenny Neal, Byron King and the Kind Snakes, Sister Blue, Fat Head, Toni Washington and others. As a professional special event DJ and MC, Bob blends his musical knowledge with his accommodating style to help make the wedding experience spectacular for clients. As a multi-award recipient in the entertainment industry, DJ Bob brings a rare quality of understanding and appreciation for clients’ experience into every wedding, party or event he is involved with. Bob is married to the beautiful Cindy and has two lovely daughters, Jessica and Kristin. Michelle is the company’s newest addition; she focuses her time on sales, social media, and DJing weddings and other events. After interning with the company in college, Michelle realized how rewarding working in the industry can be. It enabled her to help create fond memories for people that will last a lifetime and stories they will tell generations. After seeing how she could make a positive impact on people’s special day, she realized that working in a “cube” just wasn’t for her. After graduating from Temple University, she happily began working full time at Philly Event Group. Michelle always loved music and growing up her favorite artist was Elvis, he is after all, the {(King of Rock and Roll)}. As time went on, Michelle’s taste is music became very eclectic and is both a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll. Not to mention her love of musicals, top 40, Frank Sinatra, and much more. Throughout middle school and high school she was involved in musicals and choirs and briefly took up the clarinet. Nowadays, the clarinet collects dust in her closet ((sorry mom!))and she still performs songs in the shower or while stuck in traffic. She is grateful to have found a profession that incorporates her love of music and people so fast after graduating.
