I’m still in awe of the magic that unfolded at Ash Mill Farm Sunday evening for Teresa and Evan’s sunset engagement! This engagement session was nothing short of perfection. From the glowing light to the most adorable rope swing to every nook of Ash Mill Farm, we assembled a team of talented vendors to bring this beautiful styled engagement to life! Lauren, from Trousseau Style, virtually met with Teresa in the weeks leading up to the engagement session and developed a complete understanding of Teresa’s style and put together the perfect looks! I seriously can’t get over how perfect the light was for their Ash Mill Farm engagement. I am so blessed to have such wonderful couples that I am able to laugh with and capture them at such an exciting time in their life!

how they met

Teresa and Evan met in High School! (Who doesn’t love a great high school romance?!) They are both super outdoorsy people and met through mutual friends while skiing and snowboarding. And (how fitting?) their first official date was a skiing adventure!

the proposal

As Teresa and Evan were moving into a rental property together they planned a little getaway before the move. The weekend before their getaway to Maine Teresa was trying to dig up any info from Evan’s sister she could (since they’d been together for 6.5 years and were moving in together). She asked if he was planning on popping the question anytime soon and his sister gave a vague, he said he wanted to wait until after the move… Well the following weekend on their trip to Maine they drove overnight (mainly Evan) and ended up at a beautiful overlook right at sunrise. They enjoyed the sunrise at Otter Cliffs, seeing the peaceful water with the lobster boats collecting their hall, and the seals playing in the water. All of a sudden Evan was playing with something in his pocket and Teresa turns around to find him holding a beautiful ring, totally shocked! She can’t even remember him asking her to marry him, but he assures her he did, and she (of course) said yes!

Can we just talk about how absolutely gorgeous the weather was on Sunday? It was the absolute perfect evening for a warm and glowing sunset engagement! We teamed up with some really awesome vendors to help Teresa and Evan not only feel confident for their engagement, but also look like perfection! It was so wonderful wandering around the farm, getting to know these two and documenting their love.
