Testimonials

Our wonderful customers are the reason we’re in business. Here are some of the great things they say about us.

Tyler Gardens was the first and last venue we looked for our wedding reception. The gardens and tent are absolutely gorgeous! Open Aire Affairs, especially Amanda, were wonderful to work with. Amanda answered all of my (many) questions throughout the planning process and made me feel at ease leading up to our big day. Two days before our wedding there were tornados that touched down nearby. The next day Amanda drove to Tyler Gardens herself to assure me that the tent was perfectly fine, and no trees had damaged the gardens for our day. The tent is enormous and easily fit our 120 guests, food stations, additional tables, and dance floor. The patio and fire pit were an awesome perk as well! Keep in mind that if you do choose to have your reception at Tyler Gardens, consider having a day of coordinator to help since Open Aire Affairs is only responsible for the venue and any upgrades you choose, NOT for day of coordination. Open Aire Affairs does provide a wonderful list of preferred vendors (caterers, wedding planners, photographers, etc.). The venue itself is truly breathtaking and if you’re looking for a gorgeous, elegant, garden style venue looks no further! – Christina

Planning and hosting a wedding in the COVID era, especially for folks working at venues, is not easy–but you wouldn’t know that based on the incredible service from the Joshua’s Catering staff at the beautiful Ridgeland Mansion. My now-husband and I just got married at Ridgeland yesterday and had the small, intimate ceremony and dinner we always wanted. Jenn A. is really the one who brought it all together. In the hectic and stressful year leading up to the wedding (made more stressful by the virus), Jenn was endlessly kind, generous, and helpful. From holding together big-picture plans to giving my husband and I our own plates during cocktail hour to make sure we got a chance to eat the passed appetizers, Jenn really made this day possible. Every single guest commented on how beautiful the venue was, how absolutely incredible all the food was, and how wonderful every single member of the Joshua’s team was the entire night. Before our wedding, it seemed like a law of nature that weddings just could not go off without a hitch, but the whole team at the Ridgeland Mansion pulled off the impossible. I’m a laid-back bride generally, but even the most stressed bride or groom would have their mind put at ease at a Ridgeland wedding. If you can’t tell, I can’t say enough good things about this venue and the people who make it great. What a beautiful day. – Madeline

This venue and staff are amazing. My wife and I got married there over the past weekend and it was the most perfect day ever. We had such an amazing team that helped us throughout the whole process. Rae and Amanda are the best and this day wouldn’t have been what it was without them. We booked with them back in June of 2017 and they were there for us every step of the way. If you are looking for an outdoor garden wedding, then this is the perfect spot to pick. They will do everything that they can to make sure you dream comes true. –Erica

I’ve lived in the Newtown area for many years. When my daughter decided to get married, I was thrilled to know that the beautiful grounds at Tyler Park had been turned into a spectacular wedding venue by a company named Open Aire Affairs. We met with a young woman, Rae, to get the details, and knew immediately that this was the place for us! She guided us through the planning process with ease and had exciting new ideas on how to compliment my daughter’s vision of her perfect day. The wedding was spectacular! Rae and her efficient staff guided us through, and our plans became a reality. I would highly recommend Open Aire Affairs if you are planning an outdoor wedding –Lori

We were the first wedding at Tyler Gardens, and although I was nervous about being the first one, the staff did a wonderful job fixing kinks and working on the fly when the deluge started right after the ceremony. They were helpful, and flexible, and truly helped to make our day a beautiful one! I would definitely suggest this venue for a wedding 🙂 – Ellen B.

We got married at Tyler Gardens September 30th, 2017. I couldn’t be happier with our choice in venue. Working with Rae was such a breeze, she was such a pleasure and made everything so easy. I’m especially OCD and a perfectionist and she was so patient with me and understanding. We did a lot of DIY stuff at our wedding and opted to do our own flowers. We didn’t have a bridal party, so our “rehearsal” was us setting everything up the night before the wedding. Rae was there to help, and I don’t think I could’ve pulled it off without her. She helped make my vision come to life and put up with all the stress I was under that day flawlessly. I couldn’t say enough about Rae and her team- they are amazing and helpful with every process along the way. The night was something out of Pinterest and I couldn’t have asked for anything more- Yasmine

Rae and her staff were incredible to work with! Rae was always quick to answer our questions and helped with anything we needed. Highly recommend! -Meg D.

When we first saw Sand Castle Winery, we knew it was exactly where we wanted our reception to be for our June wedding. It was peaceful and majestic overlooking the Delaware River and surrounded by extraordinary vines. It was so convenient working with Erin at Sand Castle and Rae at Open Aire because they were both so knowledgeable in what they did. We felt confident with all of the rental items provided by Open Aire Affairs. The tent was sturdy and attached to the building, so it allowed us to have cocktail hour in the castle and our 110 person reception under the tent. We wanted a rustic chic wedding that was simple and focused more on God’s country, so we were able to rent bistro lighting that hung above, white chairs and pine rectangular tables for our guests, a wine barrel to hold the cake, and all the dishware needed to make our look complete. It was also very important for us to have a large dance floor because our family loves to dance and have a good time and that was all included with the tent. And of course, the most important part of having a winery venue is having excellent wine! Our family thoroughly enjoyed the wine options we offered at the wedding and many plan on visiting the winery on their own now that they were introduced to it. We cannot say enough positive words about Sand Castle Winery and Open Aire Affairs. We are so grateful that they created the perfect wedding we had ever hoped for.– Jen H.

Rae Chani Wilson from Open Aire Affairs was with us every step of the way. She handles tons of weddings every year and still made Adam and I feel like we were her only, and favorite, client. She was excited about our chosen wedding theme and instantly began offering ideas for rentals, decor, and things we could include to make things interesting for our guests. Rae graciously offered to show us different potential sites for our wedding at our convenience and reminded us when venues were hosting open houses. Any time I had a question about a site; timing, cost, colors, whatever, Rae got it for me at lightning speed. She coordinated meetings between my vendors and worked with them to arrange whatever rentals or special accommodations they needed. Rae even took the time to walk my photographer around our chosen site and show him all of the best places for beautiful pictures. At the rehearsal and the day of the wedding Rae was our point girl. Corralling and keeping our large wedding party in line and assisting all of us with whatever we needed. Any questions, Rae answered them. Any issues, Rae resolved them. Something or someone missing? Rae found it/them. She was a blast to work with, enthusiastic, tireless, and confident. She was there the instant she was needed while somehow still staying in the shadows, letting everyone enjoy the day. Rae did everything in her power to make things easy and more affordable for us. She even canceled an extra tent we had ordered for the possibility of rain, when the morning of the wedding turned out clear. I cannot thank or recommend her enough. Thank you, Rae! You, more than anyone, helped make our day the vision of perfection it was! – Janet K.

We used Open Aire Affairs in conjunction with our June 2016 wedding at Ridgeland Mansion. A few months prior to our wedding, a permanent tent was put up at Ridgeland and we used Open Aire for the ceremony chairs, bar set up, tables/chairs for the reception and air conditioning units. We also used them for the lighted paper lanterns in the tent, which was one of the best decisions we made! The tent looked absolutely beautiful with the lights in the tent and the lanterns! We worked with RaeChani, and she was very responsive to emails and offered helpful advice! – Melissa

We were married on May 25, 2014, at the Pearl S. Buck Estate. It was a wonderful venue, and Open Aire Affairs helped make our day so special! Rae helped us through the entire planning process, starting right from the day we booked the venue in September. She had a great selection of preferred caterers for any budget, and she had a list of things to remind me of, some of which I hadn’t even thought of but were needed for the wedding. She was so helpful and available to us. She was able to make the vision I had for my wedding a reality. She took care of everything that came up and was so calm. I was even able to make last minute changes the week of the wedding. On the day of the wedding, Rae took care of any issue that came up, including some unruly groomsmen! It really allowed me to relax and enjoy my special day without having to stress over the details. I would recommend to anyone that they book their wedding with Rae and Open Aire Affairs at any of the beautiful venues they have to offer. You won’t be disappointed! –Nicole & Jared

Pearl S Buck was the PERFECT location I had been looking for. The grounds are stunning, and the tent (Open Aire Affairs) was not your backyard tent. It had beautiful lighting, plenty of space and the perfect backdrop for our June wedding. The new bridal suite had plenty of room for our bridal party. We would def recommend this site! – Jonas

Ash Mill Farm was an amazing place for a wedding. It was every single thing that we wanted and then some. The site manager, Lisa, was on top of everything!!! She was the best! And the farm that held the reception too was gorgeous. I recommend it to everyone.    – Michael

Beautiful Venue- Take the time to walk around and try to maximize the whole area. It is beautiful and there are all these little areas to hang out and play games. Great place to get married.   – Samantha

The Pearl S. Buck House provided the magical place our daughter has always wanted for her wedding reception. She and her beau had wanted an outside venue and this beautiful historic site was beyond perfect. She got the historic piece where the cocktails were served in and among the classic gardens and the outside party piece for the reception. The tent was awesome and held all our precious friends and family as we danced, ate and loved the whole night away in a glorious glow of soft light and cool air. The crew in charge of the grounds and tent were very helpful and professional. They helped out in many many ways behind the scenes with everything from helping us carry and setup special sentimental items to keeping everything clean and safe for our guests. We gave them 5s across the board because they deserve it!! 🙂 – Pamela

I can’t say enough for the team at Open Aire Affairs. Kim was perfect, caring and personable. She was able to meet all our needs and then some. From the draping in the tent to additional supplies and working with Sand Castle and Kasey Lynn Catering – it was perfect. Her recommendations on cooling were excellent and well worth it. Thank you – thank you – thank you!  – Dan

Ash Mill Farm was everything I had hoped it would be for my wedding. The grounds are beautiful, the innkeeper and owner, Linda and Jeff, were accommodating and so kind, and Lisa, the event coordinator, was on top of everything and truly made our wedding exactly the way we wanted it! The food was catered by the Riegelsville Inn and was delicious!    –Gabrielle

I knew the Pearl was my wedding site when I saw the clear top tent. Stacy was wonderful from the beginning. The grounds are impeccable. We could not have been happier with this venue. I would highly recommend this for a spring/summer wedding. Kim was also very responsive and easy to work with!  – Abby

Open Aire Affairs made planning my wedding incredibly easy. The venue was breathtaking, and I got to pick my favorite caterer, band, florist, photographer, etc. to make the day my own. They are happy to make recommendations for you – some of which we did use, and there are free open houses to get to know some of these vendors. We were thrilled with the recommended choice – we used Jamie Hollander Catering. The food was out of this world and Kate who manages everything was in a word “amazing.”  She paid attention to every detail, was incredibly organized, and made me feel like I didn’t have to worry about a thing! The guests at our wedding commented that they felt like they were in a movie…think Wedding Crashers because the scenery was absolutely beautiful, the food was amazing, the band was unbelievable, and people just laughed and danced all night long. It was truly the best day of my life. If I had to plan it all over again, I wouldn’t change a single detail.– Brooke

I met representatives of OAA at an Open House for another venue they work with, and when I told the coordinator (Stacy) what I was looking for in a venue – outdoor space, unique, ability to hold over 200 people, options for a rain plan – she said right away – you need to see Pearl S. Buck House, it’s magical. My mom and I immediately drove over just to see it, without anyone showing us around. As soon as we drove up the tree-lined drive and stepped out onto the grounds, we knew this was it. It was a “Say Yes to the Venue” moment.

Pearl S. Buck House and OAA did not disappoint. This venue is Bucks County at its finest – acres of fields and trees, beautifully manicured grounds, several settings for any taste – fields, barn, woods, estate house, patio, tent – use them all. The tent is there permanently and is a wonderfully convenient and unique reception venue.

Since this venue is a bit of a DIY, as in all vendors are up to you, it was a relief to have OAA recommendations, and they were spot on. OAA will listen to your budget needs and vision and suggest vendors that will compliment your venue perfectly. I was especially thrilled to work with Jamie Hollander Gourmet Catering and DJ Bob Mills of Philly Event Group (both OAA recommended vendors). I personally recommend the clear top to the tent and the outdoor patio furniture – the fire pit was a big hit at our reception.

I could not have had a more beautiful setting for my day had I built it myself. OAA and Pearl S. Buck House really are magical.– Caitlin

The flexibility offered at this venue allows you to make your wedding as intimate and personal as you want!! Our wedding here was exactly what we wanted and more!! Our guests are still raving how much they loved our wedding and the venue, weeks later. I would recommend this venue to any couple looking for a farm wedding or a Bucks County wedding!!   – Serena

It is absolutely beautiful! The people at Pearl Buck and Open Aire Affairs (who manage events there) are incredibly invested in maintaining the space and making it perfect for weddings. They’re constantly redoing areas, planting more flowers, and offering various options for you to customize the space. The site is simply gorgeous. Very natural, tons of green space, trees, flowers, etc.

We had our ceremony outside up against a huge field of flowers. The cocktail hour was on a beautiful brick path surrounded by brick buildings and a little barn. For receptions there is an enormous tent. There was plenty of space for our group of 160 to sit, eat, dance, and mingle. Outside the tent is a patio where we set up a bar and a couple of fire pits with s’mores — a big hit!

The best part of Pearl Buck is that it’s so naturally gorgeous that you don’t need to go crazy with decorations. We had some flowers to complement the site, but mostly relied on the sunshine and nature.  – Kristen

Our venue of Pearl S. Buck through OAA was breathtakingly beautiful. We were thrilled, thank you!” – Jessica

I wanted a tent as part of my wedding venue and the surrounding area is also beautiful. Great locations for pictures and I chose the best day too! The sun was setting behind me as I was walking down the aisle and it was a really nice touch to the mood. I worked with Erin, and she was very helpful and coordinated everything very smoothly. Very responsive and made everything easy.   –Thein

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Sand Castle Winery. We had the ceremony outside under the arch overlooking the vineyard and the Delaware River which was an amazing setting for such a special moment in our lives. We had our cocktail hour in the tasting room and then our reception in their tent. Everything was absolutely beautiful! All of our guests kept telling us how beautiful the setting was, not to mention how delicious Sand Castle’s wine is! We actually had people buying bottle/cases prior to our festivities starting! The vineyard and canal below are beautiful backdrops for wedding photos, and the tent was set up perfectly for our event. Erin, the event coordinator at Sand Castle, was a huge help throughout the planning process as well as the day of. Throughout all of it, she would check in to make sure things were going well and was always available for questions and ready to offer whatever she could to help. I really had no worries knowing that she was in charge for the day, which helped me to relax and enjoy my day. Honestly, the one word to describe Sand Castle Winery is perfect! The perfect setting for the perfect day!  –Kimberly

My husband and I recently got married at Sand Castle Winery and we couldn’t have been happier with our venue selection! From the moment we visited Sand Castle, months before we got engaged, we fell in love with the beautiful grounds and amazing views. When we got engaged, we knew that we wanted to get married at a winery and even though we loved Sand Castle, we visited other wineries just to get an idea of what else was out there – after many visits to other wineries – Sand Castle was still number 1 for us. Throughout the wedding planning process, the wedding coordinator at Sand Castle, Erin, was extremely helpful and responsive. Erin was truly great to work with and always made sure that we were taken care of both before and during the wedding. I tried to surround myself with great vendors to make my job as a bride easier and Erin was a great asset to my “bridal team”! Another thing we loved about the venue was the ability to personalize a lot of things – it’s definitely not a cookie cutter hotel-type venue – as a bride and groom, we were able to customize a lot of the decor, the ceremony and ceremony area, the bar selections (Sand Castle will provide 4 of their wines and you are able to bring in the rest of your liquor so you can pick the type of beer and cocktails) – this made our wedding even more special and truly a reflection of us as a couple. Our wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect even though there was a major storm that came through that day! Erin and our caterer, Piccolo’s (who I highly recommend using) made sure everything went flawlessly even with the inclement weather. Luckily the weather held out for our ceremony, and we were able to get married outside with the vineyard and beautiful river and trees as the backdrop. Our ceremony pictures look amazing with the background! Our guests raved about the unique and beautiful venue, and everyone loved the wine! Thank you Sand Castle for making our wedding day perfect! –Kira

This venue is absolutely breathtaking! The grounds were beautifully maintained. It was the perfect backdrop for our outdoor summer wedding ceremony and cocktail hour! We then moved indoors to the cultural center which was the perfect size for our 50 guests. The cultural center includes a spacious bridal suite. Open Air Affairs handles the rental and organization for The Pearl Buck House. Kim was our contact person. She was always accessible, flexible and accommodating from day 1. Open Air Affairs coordinated beautifully with Jaime Hollander Gourmet Foods and Catering! These 2 vendors have a great working relationship! We were very pleased with the venue and our guests couldn’t stop raving about it!   – Tina & William

We heard the word “Magical” about our wedding from a lot of guests. The tent was simply magnificent. Open Aire was very easy and professional to work with. Thank you so much for your hard work and for making our wedding day such a memorable one!   – Jill & Paul

My husband and I just got married at Pearl S Buck House on July 4th. It easily was the best day of our lives and a lot of that had to do with our venue and Open Aire Affairs. Pearl S Buck is an absolutely breathtaking place to have a wedding. The wildflowers kept up by volunteers are beautiful and overflowing everywhere on the grounds. However, it really came down to our contact with Open Aire Affairs. RaeChani went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect and special for us. She took care of every single detail and even thought of things I didn’t! From the moment I met her, I did not have to worry about anything! (except for the weather – but who doesn’t?) The day of the wedding, she put all of our decorations exactly where we wanted them, on top of making sure everything was being timed perfectly to how we wanted it. Before my wedding I read a ton of reviews on a ton of different venues and other vendors, and it helped me a lot in my planning. If I had to do it all over again, I would pick Pearl S Buck over and over again. Our friends and family are still telling us how amazing the night was and how breathtaking the venue was for our special day. I can 100% tell anyone that Open Aire Affairs made my wedding day perfect and a day my family, friends and my husband and I will never forget. Thank you so much – especially to Rae – you made our day perfect. You are the BEST!   – Ashley & Brandon
